SkyPort Successfully Transitions Customers to AMC-15
-
February 11, 2009 – HOUSTON, TEXAS – SkyPort Global Communications announced today that it has successfully transitioned its customers to The EchoStar AMC-15 satellite as part the firm’s continuing commitment to provide its customers with the most reliable communication service available. The carefully planned transition to AMC-15 punctuates SkyPort’s drive to raise the level of service provided to its valued customer base while maintaining control of associated costs.
Coming off the heels of being ranked the third fastest growing teleport operator in the World Teleport Association’s, 2008 “Fast Twenty” category, a ranking of companies that have achieved an exceptional rate of year-over-year revenue growth in their most recent fiscal years, SkyPort ‘s decision to move its customers onto AMC-15 affords the provider of mission critical communications solutions, the growth potential needed to take the firm to the next level.
Robert Kubbernus, President and CEO of SkyPort Global Communications Inc. stated, “SkyPort is now realizing the level of growth that we’ve worked hard to achieve. And for this reason, our suppliers need to be flexible for the sake of the customers/end users that we serve. Consequently, in this case, our management negotiated intensely to find creative ways to both improve services to our customers and promote the growth of our company – and making the move to AMC-15 does this for us. SkyPort takes pride in its goal to keep its end customers whole and provide uninterrupted service for their mission critical networks – and now, taking this stride forward, we are uniquely positioned for growth without the need to raise prices in this current turbulent economic environment.” He added, “We fully expect that the benefits of this new supplier relationship will be evident to our customers very quickly.”About SkyPort Global Communications, Inc.
