SkyPort Acquires umc.global of Hamburg Germany

Houston, Texas and Hamburg, Germany January 6, 2010 – Robert Kubbernus, President & CEO of SkyPort Global Communications, Inc. is pleased to announce that they have acquired all the assets of umc.global GmbH & Co. KG, a premier provider of telecommunication networks and services to the marine industry. Headquartered in Hamburg Germany, umc.global has successfully deployed multiple unified telecommunication systems including VSAT, Wireless, 2G and 3G networks. Umc.global is proud of its significant vessel backlog and impressive global customer portfolio which includes many of the world’s top shipping organizations. SkyPort intends to aggressively move forward with plans to enhance umc’s current offering in order to expand the company’s global reach.
Currently, umc.global has a contracted backlog for onshore port telecommunications solutions at many of the world’s top ports in support of the global vessel network, of which, a number of ports have been fully deployed successfully.
